Lion Sands Ivory Lodge is situated in the pristine African bush in the Lion Sands Game Reserve. The Lion Sands Private Game Reserve is located in the well known Sabi Sands Game Reserve which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa.
Guests can easily self drive to Lion Sands Ivory Lodge from Johannesburg or fly from OR Tambo International Airport. Flights are available from Johannesburg to Mala Mala Airstrip, Skukuza Airport and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA). Road transfers can be arranged to Lion Sands Ivory Lodge from these airports.
How to get to Lion Sands Ivory Lodge
Directions from Johannesburg, South Africa
From Johannesburg, take the N12 / N4 highway to Nelspruit. From Nelspruit, take the R40 towards Hazyview. When you get to Hazyview, turn right onto the R536 towards the Paul Kruger Gate. After about 38km (23.61 miles), turn left onto a gravel road at the signpost for Lion Sands.
Continue along this gravel road for about 4km (2.48 miles). At the T-junction, turn right and drive another 4km (2.48 miles) until you reach the Sabi Sand Gate. You will have to pay a vehicle entrance fee. Drive straight as signposted towards Lion Sands. After about 2km (1.24 miles), turn right at the sign and follow the signs to Lion Sands Ivory Lodge.
